Whirl is committed to providing quality services to you. This policy outlines our ongoing obligations to you in respect of how we manage your Personal Information.

This Personal Information is obtained in many ways including: interviews; correspondence; telephone; SMS; email; and via our website. We don't guarantee website links or policy of authorised third parties.
We collect your Personal Information for the primary purpose of providing our services to you, providing information to our clients and marketing. We may also use your Personal Information for secondary purposes closely related to the primary purpose, in circumstances where you would reasonably expect such use or disclosure.
We conduct email and SMS marketing. You can opt out at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any marketing email, by replying STOP to a marketing SMS, or by asking us directly.

- Our drivers, who need access to collection information (such as your name, address, contact number and the items to be collected) to carry out your collection;
- RoadWarrior, the route-planning and navigation service we use to plan and navigate collection routes, which works with mapping platforms;
- Third parties where you consent to the use or disclosure; and
- Where required or authorised by law.
Our downstream reuse and recycling partners do not normally receive information that identifies our customers.
Security of Personal Information
Your Personal Information is stored in a manner that reasonably protects it from misuse and loss and from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.
When your Personal Information is no longer needed for the purpose for which it was obtained, we will take reasonable steps to destroy or permanently de-identify your Personal Information.
Access to your Personal Information
You may access the Personal Information we hold about you and update and/or correct it, subject to certain exceptions. If you wish to access your Personal Information, please contact us in writing.
Whirl Recycling will not charge any fee for your access request.
In order to protect your Personal Information, we may require identification from you before releasing the requested information.
Maintaining the Quality of your Personal Information
It is important to us that your Personal Information is up to date. We will take reasonable steps to make sure that your Personal Information is accurate, complete and up-to-date. If you find that the information we have is not up to date or is inaccurate, please advise us as soon as practicable so we can update our records and ensure we can continue to provide quality services to you.
Cookies and Browser Storage
Our website uses cookies and browser storage for website functionality, advertising measurement and attribution.
We use Google Ads and Meta advertising technologies to help us understand whether our advertising results in bookings. These services may place cookies or similar technologies in your browser and receive information about advertising interactions and successful booking events. We do not send your name, email address, phone number, street address or the contents of your booking to Google or Meta for this purpose.
To understand how visitors find us, our website also keeps two small records in your browser's local storage: one for your first visit, kept for 90 days, and one for your latest visit, kept for 72 hours. These records may contain campaign tags, advertising click IDs, the referring site, the landing page and a timestamp. They are sent to us with a booking if you make one.
You can control our optional advertising and measurement technologies through Privacy settings in the website footer. You can also remove stored cookies and browser data through your browser settings.
Data Storage
Third party technology providers are used to capture and store your data. These providers are chosen, among other criteria, for their adherence to best practice security and privacy standards.
